History
Kingsbury Press began in 1966, taking our name from Kingsbury in North West London where we were founded. By combining traditional values of craftsmanship and commitment to quality with ongoing investments in the latest technology and techniques, we quickly gained a reputation as true specialists in print.
1966

Founded in Kingsbury, London by our founder Phil Layton, we opened our doors as a family business in 1966 before relocating to South Yorkshire a few years later. Today Kingsbury Press is part of the Bluetree Group, supplying the full spectrum of print services to clients and consumers across the globe.
2007

Our first major rebrand positioned us as the print partner to the creative design sector. Working with brand and design agencies across the UK we quickly gained a reputation for our support in delivering creative and bespoke print solutions.
2008

In 2008 we moved into a purpose built facility in Armthorpe, Doncaster. Set over two floors it allowed us to bring our core services under one roof.
2012

We introduced K-Bind® to the market in 2012 which took the property and fashion sectors by storm. With unparalleled accuracy and precision, our K-Bind® process is often emulated but never matched and to this day we remain the market leader in lay-flat binding.
2015

Due to increased demand in the capital we opened our London showroom and studio space in The Print Rooms, SE1. Stocked with a vast library of print, paper and finishing samples our studio has become a welcome resource for both clients and agencies across the capital.
2017

Another market leading innovation from our R&D team, our KolorEdge® product allows for flawless edge printing in both foil and print finishes. As the first in the UK to offer this service direct to print specifiers we opened up a whole new world of print possibilities.
2019

As part of our continued commitment to the planet, we invested in a state-of-the-art ‘zero-emissions’ facility. Set in a new purpose built nature reserve, our 60,000 sq ft factory production facility allowed us to bring the full suite of production services under one roof, from proofing to dispatch and warehousing.
2020

2020 saw further investment in a B1 Heidelberg press and fully automated Kolbus binding lines, opening our innovative print expertise into the publishing, magazine and corporate reporting sectors.
2021
Kingsbury Press was acquired by printing powerhouse Bluetree Group as a standalone, luxury print offering.
